There’s controversy over giving puberty blocker to underage kids who wishes to transition. The argument being that, what if the child grows up to hate the parents who administered the blockers. So, parents are often advised to exercise patient till their kids are of a deciding age, when they understand fully the full functions of a puberty blocker.
Considering that a lot of people experience puberty around or even a bit earlier than age 12, 12-ish is honestly around the age that puberty blockers should be obtained and used if the person who needs them has decided that they want to pursue that. So if you know that you want to pursue puberty blockers, it is essential to have them on hand as soon as possible and be prepared to use them, though I would definitely recommend asking people who have used them to give further advice on when and how to actually administer them.
