There are exercises mapped out for people with osteopenia, such as; chair squats, push ups, one arm roll and some few others. Weight training can help preserve bone density and offset bone loss by applying resistance to the muscles which also stimulates the bones. It’s important to use less resistance when working joints that are at risk for fracture, like the spine, hips, and wrists.
It really depends on how strong your bones still are, you should get help from some physical therapists. Osteopenia is a side effect of undiagnosed celiac disease. Your intestinal villi are worn down to nothing due to the body attacking itself, so you can’t absorb vitamins and minerals efficiently, or even at all. Make sure your vitamin supplements are all gluten free and see a physical therapist.
