That experience still makes my heart beat faster. I faced this situation while I was traveling at night, at a higher speed than the recommended one and just managed to save myself from sliding below the truck speeding from the opposite side and then just managed to save myself from sliding down the gorge. Just after this incident, I could hear my heartbeat, sweating as if I was in sahara desert on a sunny afternoon. I could not believe that I was standing unscratched but I was thirsty, my legs were still shivering even after 5 minutes of the accident, my body was not supporting me to get on my bike back and ride away. I was happy that atleast I was with my hostel mates who helped me to sit on a rock and relax.
Even if I wanted to describe it, I wouldn’t be able to do so correctly and I still feel so overwhelmed. Recently I got overdosed, so I pretty much remember only the moments before taking the pills and the waking up moment. The very few things that transpired between those two moments are very vague. But I can remember seeing a very bright room, well illuminated. I felt my “body leave my body” if you understand what I mean, I felt so light, so free. I was somewhat confused and happy at the same time, I’ve never felt that free. It was as though so many things were lifted off me. If that’s what death is all about, then I can say it’s not entirely so bad.
