Not necessarily, I really don’t have compound knowledge to know if it’s hereditary or not. There aren’t many examples of to prove that it is hereditary except in cases where the vitiligo runs in genes and every new born baby is having vitiligo from birth. In my sister’s case and in number of other cases around, fortunately it didn’t prove to be hereditary.
There has not been extensive research done on the main cause or causes of vitiligo. There is no definitive answer to this question. Some experts believe that vitiligo is an inherited disorder, while others think that it may be caused by a combination of environmental and genetic factors. More research is needed to determine the exact cause of vitiligo.
