There is no cure as such today that can permanently treat alopecia. There are some drugs which seem to help some of the people some of the time but there is no sure cure. You also have to weigh the side effects of the drugs and whether after you stop taking them your hair will stay in or start to fall out again. Personally, I have not taken anything for many years and would prefer to stay healthy by avoiding dangerous side-effects from drugs which aren’t a sure thing anyway.

It’s 2022 and there’s still no cure for alopecia, yet. I don’t think there will ever be a cure for baldness. The sad reality is that to treat something is more profitable than finding a cure. And that goes not only for hair loss. We just live in fucked up world where profits is greater than everything else. There are no drugs approved to treat it. Doctors may use medicines approved for other diseases to help hair grow back. But there is every chance that your hair will grow back, but may fall out again. No one can tell you when it might fall out or grow back. You may lose more hair, or your hair loss may stop.
