Actually, Tor is one of the best option but tor is not the only browser you can use to access the deep web. What Tor does is that, it changes your IP address as like onion layers and enables some of the security features by disabling the javascript. If you want to surf anonymously, don’t use tor as its not the safest, it may be safest to a level but not ultimate. I prefer i2p to tor. In i2p, you won’t get a vpn but build many briges so the information and whatever you are doing won’t be monitored but it doesnt provide vpn services so go with your private vpn and try to use i2p.
One of the famous browsers in the dark web is duck-duck- go. It is an anonymous search engine. It doesn’t track you. Sites from the dark web can only be accessed through special browsers which use masked IP addresses to hide the real identity of the users, which is why dark web is popular for their total anonymity.
