Yes it is serious, and you should get to a doctor ASAP. I know it may mean nothing and probably just a boil or some sort of skin whatever. But to always be on the safe side, always consult your doctor, the earlier the better. It is very common to see lumps as one of the early symptoms of breast cancer, but not to worry, it’s highly possible it’s just a swelling, and I’m sure you will be fine.
Maybe. I’ve had lumps in my armpit that were just block hair follicles that turned in cysts. When they burst they are horrible. I’ve also had a lump under my armpit that wasn’t a cyst.
But any new lump found in that area should be looked at by a doctor as we never know. If it’s red and inflamed it’s probably a cyst or infected hair follicle but it is still better to know that to sit and worry. It’s human nature to do so. So ring the doctor today and make an appointment already.
