It’s an individual choice and to say anything is normal would be a good but to come to an agreement with is we think differently about. We all are different and have our different thoughts and beliefs. People can be emotional opinionated about different most times are afraid of what they don’t understand. And if atheist is normal? It is for the atheist and I’ve learned that after death they will not be atheist anymore and if the individual who is atheist have a great personality I would say that it is normal depending on how they act as acceptance of the person will also decide if normal too.
If you were born to parents who are atheists, and you live in a community surrounded by atheists, and you go to a school with other atheist children and a bunch of atheist professors, then it’s probably normal to be an atheist If you are born into a family and your parents are believers in one religion over another, and you live in a community where that religion is widely practiced, and you go to a school where your schoolmates are from that same religion and the teachers are also from that same religion, then I think being an atheist would not be normal. I believe that God has given us inner light to know that he exists, but we can very easy to suppress that knowledge, especially in an environment which encourages us to do so. Given the number of cultures throughout history which exhibit a knowledge of some type of higher power as compared to the number of cultures which completely dismiss the idea of a God or higher power, I would say it is not normal to be an atheist.
