Whether it’s movies or shows there is absolutely no comparison when it comes to quality, HBO wipes the floor with Netflix whether it’s shows or movies. Where Netflix could have the edge for someone would just be in the sheer quantity of stuff they have. But if you’ve been a subscriber of theirs for a while I’d definitely say it’s worth switching over for a month or two and see what you think. HBO Max has way more quality movies than Netflix and I use the former much more often than the latter. Also, I find it much easier to navigate HBO Max and find something I want to watch. On Netflix, I have to dig through tons of shitty Netflix original content to find something decent or not made by Netflix; on HBO Max it’s a lot easier to find stuff and they don’t just force their own content to the top of the pile.

Oh dear, please go get HBO Max. I promise, you will not be dissatisfied. Tons of movies. I added it on to my hulu live. The catalog is huge. Plus all of Warner brothers movies meant for theatrical release are all there. I didn’t buy a movie ticket for Godzilla vs Kong, wonder woman, mortal combat, suicide squad, etc. Yes, these are just the summer popcorn movies. HBO will definitely crush Netflix when they get their shit together and start mass backfilling their catalogue with 4k HDR versions of the movies they already have. Netflix movies is like a buffet at a cheap restaurant. There are plenty of selections but a lot of them are cheap and not very good.
