I’ve not been so lucky with moisturizers in the past, a friend recommended cerave to me. I really hope it’s worth the hype and it doesn’t make me turn black.

CeraVe Moisturizer cream is one of those golden treasures in skin care that isn’t exactly known by everyone. I personally had never heard of the product until an appointment with my dermatologist a few years ago. I was on medication for adult acne, and my skin was so dry. He sent me home with a few samples, and after my first use of the cream, I was hooked. I figured that it was a special moisturizer that I was going to have to shell out lots of money for, but surprisingly enough it was under $20
Internet hype aside, the real appeal of Cerave lies in its simplicity. The brand is best known for its facial cleansers – there’s a foaming one and a hydrating one – and its no-frills moisturisers for face and body. The unifying concept is that of strengthening the skin barrier; while these products won’t brighten, resurface or plump like an active-packed regime, they will keep your skin surface protected which, in turn, prevents a host of skin issues from arising.
