There is no need to sugar coat the truth. Being naive is a combination of being stupid, simple, inexperienced and ignorant. There is nothing right or wrong about being naive. People who are naive should work hard to fix it, and to fix it quickly. Otherwise they will not be respected and valued members of our society. The problem is people will rarely identify their naivety, and will take all efforts made by others as an insult. Those who take the insult as constructive criticism will set on the right track to becoming better/more useful people.
There is nothing wrong nor bad in being naive for as long as such a state of consciousness stems from circumstances that have yet to materialize in order to allow access and assimilation of guiding criteria. What is extremely wrong and bad, however, is subjecting a naive individual to humiliation and disrespect simply because of views deemed inferior by the mocking party.
