I sort of work round the clock, which exactly doesn’t leave me great time to spend with my daughter. She had special needs, and there is an in-house nanny present 24/7. However, whenever she sights me, she gets so emotional and cry. I have a big hunch that the nanny isn’t nice to her after all. My daughter is 13.
If your nanny is new, it’s possible your daughter is trying to get used to being around a new face. However, if your daughter suddenly develops this feeling towards her nanny, then you should be concerned. If you won’t get anything out of your daughter, you can try to install a secret cam when your nanny is not around. Install the cam, this is clear your concerns about whether your nanny is treating your daughter well or not. You may also talk to the nanny, basically to tell you about how it’s been going caring for your daughter.
Find out why! Not liking the nanny right off is no problem. But if this continues or worsens then it is time to investigate. You do not want your children traumatized while you are away or working. Set up cams and check out what is going on when you are not home. this may not be legal in your state so it may not hold up in court BUT it will give you an insight into your children’s day and you can make an informed decision about retaining the nanny.
