My boyfriend was just laid off at his place of work, and he thinks we should start living together in order to cut bills. I work and pay for my bills, I don’t quite understand why we have to live together to cut bills. what should I do?

It is a much bigger deal than it looks like, so think hard first. You can like to have a try for a little while so if it doesn’t work out you won’t stuck. Living with a roommate you don’t get along with is hard but a boyfriend now is worse. Breaking a lease is expensive and moving cost. Worse is sometimes you get along for many years yet nothing changes. Most times, you may marry him without really wanting to but because everyone already knows you two live together. So they just expect that it would happen.
No. Not unless you want to be used like a toy, until he finds someone else. And he will find someone else. That’s why they call them “boy-friend” and not “Husbands”. If a boyfriend was the same as a husband, we wouldn’t have different words for them.
You move in with your boyfriend, and I will give you (on average) about 3 years, and you’ll be heartbroken and alone, and he’ll be with someone else.
