How to stop being an introvert

The problem in society is that people judge introverts as being shy, socially anxious, or overly reserved. I’m really none of those things, I am just quite as I do not have much to say.

  1. Introversion and extroversion are personality types. They can’t be changed. They’re fundamental to who a person is and how that person processes information. It’s not merely about being social vs. not being as social. Introverts can be socially assertive and outgoing without becoming an extrovert. Introverts are predisposed to social anxiety. That’s something that must be overcome. It’s an extrovert’s world, and introverts need to do quite a lot in order to adapt and become socially successful within it.

  2. As an introvert you can learn to be extroverted for a short time, but will probably find that you will need time to be introverted and recharge yourself in between being extroverted. As an introvert I find it hard to make new friends. I can be social, but my idea of a friend includes someone I can catch up with only once per month… because I mostly choose introverted activities and don’t always feel like being social.
