So it really depends on the kind of jewellery. My best, most valuable stuff— I mean my solid gold, diamonds— is put in a jewellery box but you don’t really need to do much to protect it otherwise, whereas my silver jewellery is put into air-tight little ziplock bags and then stored in the box to prevent tarnishing. The exception is my wedding rings and my daily earrings because I wear them everyday and need easy access, so I put them in a small dish on the bathroom counter.
I have a small canvas frame I got from a store that holds all my studs, earrings, and delicate necklaces. It fits neatly inside my medicine cabinet. I used to use a corkboard for my earrings and necklaces, but a white canvas frame is so clean and minimalist, I’m in love w the aesthetic. I use a small wooden box with sections to hold my rings, charms, bobby pins, and odds and ends. And my watches and chunkier necklaces and sunglasses are in drawer in my closet. I have a small jewellery dish beside my bed for any floating pieces and another dish on my bathroom counter, to remind myself to wear certain items.
