That would really depend on the person, but in general I’m a fan of taking small steps to push the boundary instead of doing something ‘wild’ that’s very much outside it. Like when you’re scared of heights, I’d start with a hike on a mountain with a gentle slope, not a bungee jump. Sometimes it’s just as simple as saying or doing what you actually want to do and say. Don’t hold yourself back for anyone else’s comfort-including your own.
Just think of stuff that you would never do, just do it and push yourself. If you’re someone who doesn’t interact with people– volunteer to help with something in your community. If you’re someone who needs to be more independent– go to a movie alone or go out to eat alone. If you’re someone who can’t commit, sign up for a 5k race a couple months away and start training for it.
