Some say you can only break out of hypnosis through the use of a “trigger word”
But you don’t have to need a “trigger word” to come out of hypnosis. You are always in full control. You can come out of hypnosis any time you want, simply by deciding to come out of hypnosis.
Watching how hypnosis works on tv will distort your understanding of how hypnosis truly works, and I can tell you it’s not really like the things we see on TV. Hypnosis is not what you see on TV and in the movies. It is a natural state of mind that we all go into and out of each day. A hypnotist is able to guide you into a specific state of ‘trance’ to help make the changes you wish. You cannot do anything you do not want to do and the hypnotist does not control your mind. You will eventually come out of trance once the hypnotist stops the session. Depending on how deep the person is hypnotised, it may take 1–5 minutes to progressively become fully alert and integrated back into the conscious world.
