That’s really up to the individuals involved. But to answer your question, I’d say, at least a year. You really need to get to know each other before taking a big step like marriage because love is not enough. It takes patience, lots of it, understanding you are two different people now living with eachother and have your own way of doing things. That you are going to fight and hate eachother but you work it through and not bail. That there always will be temptation but you vowed to love one person for the rest of your life.
If you’re thinking about getting married, you should think about all that before you do, and all that thinking should be done within the time frame you two agree on.

It depends on your time of being comfortable with the person you are getting married to. Because marriage is not just about living with each other but how comfortable you are to discuss anything in terms of financial planning, family planning, sharing your thoughts, understanding each other’s thoughts, even some bizarre things that you can share with only that person. It can take 2 months, 6 months, 1 year but if you are struggling with coping with each other than you both are not meant for each other. In the case of arranged marriages, take at least 1 year of time because it takes courage to plan your plan with a completely stranger person. Because apart from love, it’s very important to make the other person comfortable with your thoughts, family and your lifestyle. Adjustments required from both the side, it should be one-sided, to maintain this you have spent the time to understand each other. No matter how much time you take, but after doing all these things, when your mind & heart triggers you that she/he is the one for you then don’t waste your time.
Apart from this, it’s important to get married at the right time.
