The day of ovulation is the day a woman has the highest chance of getting pregnant, it’s the fertility day. Although that is not the only day a woman is fertile, the few days before ovulation are also fertile days but the ovulation day is the day a woman is most fertile. Ovulation last just a single day, but there are also fertile days before ovulation.
Ovulation lasts around 24 hours. During that 24 hour period more than one egg may be released, with each egg having the potential to live up to 24 hours this means there may be a viable egg present for up to 48 hours.
