  1. It actually does go bad. Freezing foods slows down bacteria growth. Chemicals react in a similar way in colder temperatures, slowing down activity. I think it might be the same reason it slows down bacteria growth. It definitely doesn’t kill bacteria. While you may want to leave your frozen foods frozen for a long time, it is imperative to know that by the time a food item is frozen for too long, it loses its nutritional value.

These are large and expensive to build and are typically walk-in freezers. I’m not about to start promoting stale food though, but recently (February) I had pulled out some canned beef, cooked and ate it, and I’m here kicking fine. When I checked the container, it dated back to 2018.
