It depends on where you live, and in which jurisdiction you can open a bank account, and whether the banking regulators in that country allow PayPal linked accounts. Some countries which have implemented capital controls may constrain or prevent links between PayPal and local bank accounts, for example in the Ukraine, because PayPal can be used to move money out of the country. However I know from personal experience that bank accounts can be linked in the US, Australia, and the UK, and that the withdrawal process normally takes 3-5 days.
To transfer funds from your PayPal account to your bank account, it usually takes between 3 to 5 business days; weekends and holidays may affect the exact timing of when your money is deposited. Also, additional holding periods may apply when transferring money depending on your bank account. After PayPal has verified your identity to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and to reduce the risk of fraud, you can start transferring your funds from PayPal to your bank account.
PayPal offers a couple different options for transferring your money to your bank account once you get paid, including manual or automatic transfers. If you would like to manually transfer your money to your bank account you can log into to your PayPal account at any time and process this transfer. To set up automatic transfers, which transfer money from your PayPal account to your bank account on a nightly recurring basis, enable the PayPal “Auto Sweep” feature.
