My experience with adderall is one of a life time struggle of amphetamine addiction which has nearly killed me several times and left me homeless at least one time. Amphetamines are right up there in addiction with heroin and other opiates. Amphetamines are not a joke. They should not be taken casually or lightly. And never take some of someone elses script. Also dont ever ever ever share your script with someone else no matter what they say to you. I didnt even realize how addicted i was till my mid to late 20s. I’m in my thirties now and recently I relapsed again on a small bit of amphetamines. I’m getting through it but this class of drug is not an elementary school yard bully. Its a full fledged military grade terrorist. Needless to say I’m not a fan of anyone being on it unless they have narcolepsy or something severe like that. I’m not a doctor but I do have 13 years of on and off hell to testify to.

Adderall makes me edgy, sharp and makes my thoughts race and I talk quick. However, it helps me to do my task in a better way, and on it boring tasks become fun. It feels as if times flies by when I am on Adderall. However, while I do things quicker, I also get more aggressive and impatient and get this urge to boss around.
The kick I get from Adderall helps me to enjoy things while making me alert too and helps in attaining a different level of awareness. The feeling of invincibility that I get after taking Adderall makes me take undue risks. I feel it’s a perfect combination of dopamine and serotonin with one making me focus while the other making me happier. The focus does stay if we don’t increase the dosage, it’s all a matter of abuse at some point; just the strong euphoric feeling goes away as well as the energy surge that makes us feel invincible. Simply put, excess dopamine raises the risk of depression. Surely this is not highlighted or debated by the pharmaceutical industry, but it should be done, at least as a warning. Getting rid of depression caused by Adderall is not an easy task, I can assure you. It would make our mental capacities weaker and impair our skills, making us feel as if we are afflicted with mental problems. So it’s up to us to realize what dosage is right for us. I mean, if we were prescribed 20 mg and we get high, we are better off reducing that dosage, since it is for our good.
