The truth is, when used in moderation, alcohol can help alleviate anxiety and stress. People don’t just set out to become alcoholics exactly.
It is an addiction, and truthfully, we all are subjected to some kind of addiction or the other. Some people are impulsive eaters, others are addicted to lying, smoking and the likes. People who end up being alcoholics don’t set out to become one, in fact if you ask many they wouldn’t even know the point they became alcoholic.
A huge factor that makes people into alcoholics is peer pressure. There are many people who would rather not drink, but because their friends drinks, they drink too because they don’t want to be the odd one out. Taking more than 3 drinks makes you an alcoholic. Not knowing when to draw the line and stop means you’re already an alcoholic and you’re probably addicted already. You should seek help.
