First, you need audience and presence; without either of the two, you’re going to have a tough time. If nobody knows, nobody buys. Second, you’re going to need funding, the term “you spend money to make money” is actually very relevant in marketing, because Facebook, Instagram, google and YouTube ads are not free. Next, you need psychological tactics, how to convince people to buy things, which the number one role is emotion. I hate to say it but, playing on people’s emotions is the only way sales are made. People buy because they’re sad and need comfort, happy and want to feel even happier. And of course angry, because then hey could use the purchased item to flaunt at their haters and enemies. Last but not the least, you need a really really good product or service. If your product or service is crap, it won’t matter if your marketing skills are great, 9 out of 10 times, people will move on to the product or service that does the work for them.
First of all you need to decide the goal of your business and try to find out the appropriate advertising tool for promotional purpose. Next you need to decide the type of market you want. Knowing your market, or your target audience, is vital to helping you make the best marketing decisions. Ask yourself this: who buys your product?
For your marketing effort you need to work with a graphic designer to create a branding guide or company logos, colors, and styles can be helpful; carry this across your signs, promotional items, trade show booth, and all of your efforts to create a consistent and professional look that is recognizable and memorable to customer.
You always need to be creative while designing your ads. For example you can design a branded furniture for sale as well as to promote your brand by putting appropriate logo and graphics. Think creatively to effectively market and grab attention!
Remember you are marketing to and for your customers. So if they have feedback on what is working and what is not, listen to them. After all, they know your business in a way you cannot: as a paying customer.
