There was an Apple iPhone left at the counter, it’s been with me for few days, waiting for the owner. Also, there is no way to track the owner as the phone is locked.

There was an Apple iPhone left at the counter, it’s been with me for few days, waiting for the owner. Also, there is no way to track the owner as the phone is locked.
It’s great you’re trying to find a way to return the phone to the rightful owner, however you have no business trying to unlock the phone. You can either take it to the nearest police station or you hold on to it and allow the owner come for it with proof of ownership.
