Use your hand to hold your eyelids open and rinse under a cool tap. If you had a saline solution it would be better, but I imagine you don’t pack a big bottle of that at home. Expect your eye to be red and kind of sore. Whatever you do, don’t scratch it! It will go away on its own once your body adjusts the pH.
When lash or any tiny particle enters the eye, it causes irritation and a sense of discomfort. It may cause itching and a tendency to rub the eyes to remove the irritant. However, it reddens the eyes, and irritation may not be decreased unless that particle gets removed from the eye. To remove the lash, you can wash the eye with a gentle splash. Blink the eyes quickly so that it secretes tears to take the lash in a corner. It will be easy to remove the lash or other tiny particles from that area soon.
