You just need to pay for it. When your iCloud storage is almost full, you will get a prompt on your iOS device to ask you update your iCloud storage plan, and then you can purchase it according to your need Or you can directly go to Setting app on any of your iOS device and go to iCloud > Manage Storage > Change Storage Plan.
The best way to get extra iCloud storage is to pay for it. The prices are pretty affordable as I just upgraded my iCloud storage myself- and interestingly enough you can share it with multiple users on family sharing. Nice
