If you’re working just for making money, believe me, the motivation is not going to stick around for very long. Money was never meant to be an end in itself. The concept of money was to make exchange between people more simple and give it a standard. But, it grieves me to see now that money and it’s accumulation has become an obsession for some. Money is supposed to help you meet your ends, your aspirations, your aims, etc. I understand that in some cases the amount of money required to fulfill the above is too large. In such a situation also, one’s motivation will only hold till the person keeps their focus intact on the final end and not on the amount of money required.
I was in sophomore year in college when my dad passed; with what led to his death, he could’ve been saved if there was enough money to take care of him. That was when it dawned on me that having money cuts beyond being able to afford expensive lifestyle. Being able to come through for myself and my loved ones when there is need motivated me to want make money and want to make more. I’ve seen what could’ve been saved if not money.
