I admire people who speak in tongues and even though I’ve trying to help myself do likewise, I’ve not been able to. How do I learn how to speak in tongues?

That sounds really ridiculous, learn how to speak in tongues. Isn’t that something you’re supposed to develop as a result of your continuous relationship with God. Speaking in tongues is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, not to be taught. You learning how to speak in tongues will definitely not make it genuine. That’s what I think anyway.
Speaking in tongues is speaking in the personal language of God, it is you communing with God. When one speaks in tongue that person speaks to God in a language that is understood by God Himself. One does not learn this language, it is a free gift from the Holy Spirit and He alone can help one with speaking in tongues.
