Tattoos on the ribs do not feel good at all. Nor do the stomach or armpit areas. All you can do is relax and take it as it comes, because it must be done. If you’ve had your foot done, it’s worse. A lot of it depends on the artist, mine was done by a seasoned artist who is as light-handed as he can be. Exact location is variable in pain levels as well, some areas are pretty fine, while others suck – as with any tattoo.
Seriously get ready to rumble… like to think of getting tattooed as giving birth. Once you start you have no option to stop, and at the end of the pain something beautiful has been brought in to the world. What will help with the pain a little is taking a couple of Tylenol before, and taking good care of your skin leading up to the tattoo.
