I want to believe USA has the largest number of illegal immigrants ever. What’s more surprising is how these illegal immigrants carry on with their lives like normal residents, they have normal jobs and get paid, they pay housing rent, bills and the rest. How are they not caught?
First, they aren’t illegal immigrants. They are illegal residents. Had they immigrated, they would not be illegal. The reason they can get jobs is the Republican Party during ReaganBush stopped enforcing US laws prohibiting the hiring of people who did not have legal permission to work in the USA, thus opening US borders to a flood of low cost immigrant workers. The reason they did it was industry, which had just been given the power of offering legal bribes by the corrupt SCOTUS in 1978, was willing to pay generous bribes to reduce the pay of all jobs that could be done by immigrant labor. Major US employers now advertise all over Central America in Spanish language employment magazines saying “if you show up we will hire you, no visa needed”. Note the fact when ReaganBush opened US borders, it was the mid 1980s. In almost 40 years, ALL subsequent presidents have left US borders open. If we don’t want people residing and working in the USA illegally, all we have to do is start enforcing our own laws again. Since almost no American citizens support open borders, one can only conclude that our government does not represent the interests of American citizens.
Most often illegal immigrants have fake social security cards and identification cards. There are plenty of people in California and along the border who have the ability to make identification cards that look good enough to get hired with. Most often they are seeking employment with companies that do not use e-verify and are willing to hire illegals. I’m talking about small businesses like garages, construction companies, cleaning companies, restaurants and other mom and pop operations. As long as they have a social security number that allows the employer to pay their payroll taxes, the employers don’t care that they are illegal.
