I really don’t know how it happens but it’s very hard for commuters to nap on publish transport just to wake up in the middle of nowhere. How is it always possible for those who nap on public transport to wake up almost before they get by their bus/train station?
How am I always able to wake up from my public transport naps before I get to my stop?

This is similar to when we set alarms to wake us up, sometimes we wake up even before the alarm goes off. In actual fact, you may not be exactly sleeping, you may be waking up in between naps to check if it’s your stop or not, and when it’s not, you go back to sleep. This is especially true when you commute a particular place all the time, your body would already get used to the environment. Which is why you’re likely to wake up before you get to your bus stop.
It’s also possible that you’re able to wake up for your particular stop due to an oral cue, like the conductor stating the name of the subway stop over the PA system, or a musician at that station playing the saxophone. Such cues alert your brain that you’ve arrived. Just the way you’re more likely to hear your name than any other name while you sleep — even if the words are spoken at the same volume.
