Snails are highly nutritious meat that is eaten all around the world. Due to their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities, they have anti-cancer capabilities and strengthen the immune system. One of the benefits of eating snails is their high Selenium content. Selenium is one of the most critical elements required by the body to combat deadly heart illnesses and cancer. It protects your body against various illnesses and chronic ailments, and it doesn’t stop there. Selenium is essential for the regulation of thyroid hormones. Almost all components of a snail has their own useful benefit. Snail water decreases blood pressure; high blood pressure is linked to stroke; by reducing blood pressure, stroke risk is reduced.

Although snail is a top tier protein, but it’s definitely not all that for me. Snails do provide a low calorie source of protein and it doesn’t soak up too much oil or grease like other sources of protein. Protein is essential for building and repairing muscle, and is also better at filling you up than carbs and fat. Many people look to seafood as an easy source of protein, but actually, snails have more. Snails are also a good source of iron, essential for building red blood cells and carrying energy around the body. A lack of iron can lead to extreme fatigue and anaemia. Snails are a good source of magnesium, which our bodies need to maintain a normal blood pressure, strengthen bones and also keep your heartbeat regular.
