You have good reading habits when you have set goal for how many books you wish to read and finish up in a month or year. I make sure I read everyday, the times I read are in the morning when I’m having my coffee and at night before I sleep. I make sure I read at least four pages in a day. I set a realistic goal for myself, that is why I’ve been able to always achieve reading four pages everyday. Setting unrealistic reading goals may cause you to find yourself under unnecessary pressure.
When trying to cultivate good reading habits, the first thing to do is to find the genre you’re interested in, you should read only books you find interesting and understand. Start with non-complex books, easy to read. The next thing is setting time to read, do not set unrealistic time. Start by reading at an easy pace until you are comfortable reading long chapters, adjust and out extra pressure if needed.
