You can store frozen strawberries for up to 12 months in the freezer. If strawberries are kept at freezing temperatures continuously, they will not have bacteria growth on them. Bacteria can make you sick, so doing this would be the optimal way. That means don’t thaw them for a while then put them back in the freezer again. It’s noticeable that the strawberries might be softer after thawing. This is not something to worry about because the fruit’s flesh is largely water and when you put the fruit in the freezer, the cells will break up.
If properly stored and frozen, strawberries will maintain best quality for about 12 months in the freezer and the storage is not damaged, although they will usually remain safe to eat after that. Although, if there are slight changes in the color or appearance of your strawberries, the best thing to do is to toss them away. Usually, fruits have a very limited shelf life and mostly become water-mushed.
