For a very tiny creature, I am quite shocked at the lifespan of a finger monkey. My ex girlfriend had one sometimes ago, it was so tiny, sometimes I felt it could be mistakenly matched on and die. But the monkey was alive even till we broke up and went our separate ways, and she’s had the money roughly two years before we met and we dated for 3years. I don’t know if anything has happened to it yet, but for it to have lived that long, that means it can live even way longer. I mean, the monkeys span 15-20 years.
Finger monkeys tend to live quite a lot longer in captive environments. Pet pygmy marmosets usually live 15-20 years. Wild ones don’t live as long, because they are prey animals and because they fall from the trees.
