Businesses really do themselves a lot of evil when they buy fake reviews, in a way, people always end up finding out and that’s bad for business. I’ve written a few reviews myself on companies that I’ve had some sort of relationship with. Some of them were great and others were bad reviews. I think it’s stupid to write fake reviews because in the end, your customers will know.
There is review manipulation, it has always been and it will always be. The fact that I know and I’m aware that people pay people to write reviews about their business, works and app online can never make me genuinely trust online reviews. Also, in college I worked part time for a place that gives employees $50 cash for 5 star reviews that mention them. So, I really don’t trust reviews.
