How do I effectively and permanently quit smoking? I got addicted to smoking pretty early in life, I don’t have any underlying illness or disease as a result of smoking yet. But I wish to quit before it starts endangering my health. I’ve tried to stop couple of times, I just don’t know how to reject when I’m offered a joint.

The first thing you should always know is this, only you can make yourself stop smoking. No matter how much people try to convince and talk to you to stop, you will not stop until you make that decision to stop. Making the decision to stop is the first step to quitting smoking. When you’ve decided to stop, don’t be too aggressive about it. Take a step at a time. You didn’t become an addict in a day, you cannot totally quit in a day. It is a gradual process of consistency.
