If you’ve just moved to your apartment, having echo sounds is normal as you wouldn’t have much stuff stacked up in the place yet. But as soon as you start getting home stuff like your furnitures and home essentials, the echo starts to reduce. Also, you can’t forego the importance of the magic of curtains can do to help stop the house from echoing.
If you don’t have a lot of things occupying space in your house, there will surely be echoes. So I’m assuming it’s only echoing in there now because it’s empty. The issue is what sound proofing can solve, but the simplest thing is just to fill the room up with furniture and soft surfaces. Put a rug on the floor, bookshelves along the walls. Give the sound more things to bounce off of and they won’t bounce straight back producing an echo.
