It doesn’t matter which you eat. They are both good sources of protein. It’s not possible to answer your question as to which is better. You can ask whether fish or beef has the higher percentage of protein. Cod is a lean white fish with protein at about 25 – 30% protein. It’s low in calories and fat, yet it contains vitamins, minerals, and heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Different types of fish have slightly different amounts of protein.
Eating fish, especially oily fish has an advantage over eating beef. Oily fish is rich in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which have been shown to reduce inflammation and potentially lower the risk of heart disease, cancer, and arthritis.
First everything depends on everyone’s digestion system. Fish is easy to digest. However, grass fed organic beef liver has more nutrients than all meats. Beef liver has the most nutrients and dense nutrients. Digestion is very important. A lot of us that are older have digestion problems. Fish protein would be better for me, because I eat too much beef and pork protein, and have drawn away from chicken. I always try to balance my intake of protein about 50–50, but not always successful. Fish might be better because of less inherent bad cholesterol.
