Personally, I I think talent is an excuse used by the lazy to hide their lack of effort. Thing is, anyone that people label as talented has spent a lot of time practicing whatever it is they’re good at. No one is good at something the first time they do it. You cannot find what you’re talented at by trying a bit of something.
Of course, you tend to carry skills from one activity to another. Someone who has played basketball for years would be a better football player on the first day than someone who has played football, but nothing else, for a couple of weeks. Someone who has read hundreds of books can write better prose than someone who attended a 2-day workshop. Now, to answer the actual question, NO! not everyone has talent. What each of us does have, is time. The more time you spend for something, the greater talent you accumulate.
Every human is born with some unique talent is an uncontested fact; it appears to be very difficult to say if it’s extraordinary or not. It depends on the efforts he had made in previous births karma with respect to that particular trait. Environmental factors play a part, not in creating but in bringing out the innate potential. It’s this that influences, in giving the appearance of extraordinary. Extraordinary powers are not conferred as a boon by some supernatural power but when environmental factors are not favouring the expression, they lie dormant, never disappear, as they are the fruits of karma.
