A lot go into thoughts when it comes to considering names for a baby. Thanks to movies, there are lots of names that help guide parents into giving names to their babies irrespective of their gender. The name Selene is a girl’s name of Greek origin meaning “moon goddess”.
Personally I don’t care if a name has meaning not. My parents chose my name because Salina is a Greek character and they are both religious and they just really liked the sound. It doesn’t bother me that my name doesn’t hold any personal meaning other than that. A lot of people do want the names that they choose to have meaning, but it is totally a thing of personal preference.
