      Extreme weight gain leaves you at the risk of some health problems. However, weight loss can help correct these health problems that can occur due to the massive weight gain. If you’d be gaining massive weight for a reason, you should know the health effects of the weight gain.
      Excessive weight gain increases the risk of high blood pressure and high cholesterol which leads to heart disease or stroke.

      Being overweight increases the chance of developing type 2 diabetes

      Gallbladder disease is more common if you’re overweight

      It causes stress on the knees, hips and lower back due to the fats pressure on them.

      You’re more likely to develop sleep Apnea which is a sleeping condition that causes one to snore heavily

      Being overweight increases the risk of getting fatty liver disease. And this may lead to severe liver damage or failure.

      Note: Early correction in weight can prevent these health effects.

      Of course there are health risks associated with excessive weight loss and also excessive weight gain. There are times when some actors have to lose or gain a lot of weight in order to play a particular role. An example is the case of Joaquin Phoenix who had to lose 52pounds in few months in order to deliver his role in Joker. There are health risks associated with excessive weight loss, some of them are listed below;
      Loss of muscle mass-a loss of muscle mass always comes with excessive weight loss

      Extreme weight loss deprives the body of essential nutrients necessary for healthy living.

      Gallstones are formed when the digestive juices in the gallbladder are not released due to lack of food intake

      Decrease in energy level-you feel tired easily

      Extreme drop in weight causes the bones to become so fragile

      It increases the risk of surgical complications

      It also increases the risk of heart attack.
