I’m not sure if I’m weird but I’m really so cranky during my birthdays. I find aging really depressing.

Despite what people may believe, anxiety and depression aren’t a natural part of aging and no one has to accept them.
In fact, mood and anxiety disorders become less common as people age. But detection rates are also lower among older adults. They’re less likely to seek assistance for mental health issues. So it’s important for those around them to pay attention and offer help if they see a problem
When I was 16, I probably felt the same as you- just wanted to grow up. My advice is this: enjoy your youth while it lasts! Of course I don’t know anything about your family life, but the older I get, the more I realize the importance of family. All too soon, you will grow up, so enjoy your youth before it is too late! As far as growing older being depressing, for me, I would have to say that it is. I turned 45 this year, so I hopefully still have lots of good years ahead of me.
