Personally I’ve had way too many experiences with death to not believe that our core energy, or soul if you like, does transition into something else after we leave the body we currently are living in. I was brought up in a family of very devout Catholics who believe in Heaven and Hell. They all believed in life after death and they taught me to believe as well. Eventually I found my own path to spirituality and had a dear friend who had at one point in his life been a Buddhist priest. He shared some beautiful secrets about life after death which gave me great peace. At various points in my life, especially when I lived in a haunted house for a year, I’ve experienced what seemed to be ghosts or energies from different realms. I took those experiences at face value because I had no idea what was happening. When my father passed away unexpectedly I had a series of unusual experiences with his energy, if you want to call it that, after he has left his body. They were very real and in some cases kinda freaked me out.
No. I do not. I believe that when you die, that’s it, game over. I’ve seen nothing to suggest any proof of an afterlife. In fact, I find the very idea of an afterlife somewhat of an oxymoron. I don’t think that the general public really believes in it either. Oh sure, they all say they do, but they break so many of the rules. If they were genuinely afraid of Hell, they’d be nicer in general. They all want to believe they’ll get to Heaven just because they believe in God, but so few people have bothered to really read the fine print. Jesus said it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man to get into Heaven. The Bible tells us that most people won’t go to Heaven, but people cannot accept that. They want to believe that all of their dead relatives are waiting for them in Heaven and they’ll all be reunited for all time while we atheists burn for all eternity for minor indiscretions.
