Astrologers are most often consulted at times of uncertainty, and people will gladly believe anything that appears to provide a glimpse of what is waiting around the next corner so far it gives them a better sense of control, even if that sense of control is illusory.

What you believe, of course, is up to you. Belief in astrology comes down to being able to believe that the world is imbued with meaning. Astrology is based on the view that there is a meaningful correlation between events in the sky and events on Earth. If you don’t think such a correlation is possible, then it’s hard to see how you could accept astrology. But if your mind is open to the possibility of such a correlation, then it’s possible that you could accept the validity of astrology.
Speaking for myself, I have held both views: I am a scientific type, and I denied the validity of astrology when I was young. But by the time I got into my 20s, a number of things had happened that shook my view of the world. I started looking into astrology, and the more I looked, the more I found.
I do believe in it, this is actually due to the fact that every single person I have met in life acts exactly as their astrogical sign is, and I am no exception. All my family acts exactly as their Astro sign. My friends’ characteristics—some are uncannily just what their traits should be like. Others have most traits but not all. So what is this mystery, and why don’t people accept it? I believe that the planetary influences our actions and all that happen to us, because how else would I explain what I have witnessed in my life? Don’t tell me all of it is simply coincidence. It is not a coincidence and I for one do not believe there are just coincidences in life. Everything happens for a reason. Why don’t people accept it? Because these are the same people who don’t believe in a God unless He were to stand right before them; these are people who who no faith, who believe only in the concrete and in sciences, data, and facts.
