Do you believe God has a hand in the evils that happen around the world?

Is God cool with the evils around the world or he simply has a hand in them? Why does the world created by God, a creation of a perfect being, seems to be filled with so much evil and strange things?

The good or evil in life comes from the working of the law of Karma. A person’s actions condition and direct his life experience — good or bad. Karma explains all the good in life and the difficulties we experience. Dividing events into Good and Bad is a mark of our delusion of self. We see ourselves as separate from life around us and this creates constant calculation and judgment. Events we like are labeled good; those disliked are bad. With Enlightenment comes Equanimity and we transcend karma. We transcend judging, joyfully reintegrating with life. God is morally all good. So whatever moral evils exist in the world must come from humans. Natural evils are bad things that occur due to natural events. Items in this category would be bad things that happen to humans due to acts of nature such as tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, etc. Some natural evils are due to immoral human actions, such as when humans pollute a water source, but most natural evils are works of God. So if God is all-powerful, as standardly conceived, the acts of nature are His doing. So God is the source of most natural evils.

It is generally claimed that everything good comes from God. Then where do the following come from: abuse, accidents, betrayal, blindness, corruption, cyclones, death, disappointments, diseases, divorces, earthquakes, famines, greed, heartaches, heat waves, homelessness, hurricanes, infidelity, injuries, jealousy, lying, massacres, murder, pain, poverty, racism, riots, shipwrecks, storms, suicide, tornadoes, tragedies, typhoons, wars, wildfires, etc. Humans cause the evils we see in the world because of misplaced desire, our egos and need to control; because we react and not act. Our intentions can cause suffering and pain for others. We are out of harmony with God and the world around us. Christians believe that the Father sent the Son to restore this harmony, and the Holy Spirit to empower us to make morally good choices. These are choices that see beyond our personal immediate wants and needs, and to see those of others. The evils can be diminished the more we are in harmony with God, the world and those around us.
