Actually, hell and heaven matters are God’s prerogative. Human cannot decide who will enter which, even a Muslim. No guarantee and a person should not be so sure that he will go to heaven, or lose hope and think he definitely go to hell. As I know in Islam, being non-Muslim doesn’t doom you to hell instantly. God’s Mercy also is bestowed upon the non-Muslims. No compulsion for you to accept Islam means you may choose to stay with your religion until your heart is open to Islam.
I can’t understand this concept of non-Muslims going to hell. It negates the qualities of Allah, the almighty, the all merciful, the all loving. It’s said he loves us more than our own mothers, and would a mother send her son or daughter to hell? Of course not! However, sure, if the child is a nuisance then must be punished, however, that punishment must be proportionate and in the light of self reformation and deterrence. Allah never said non-Muslims will go to hell.
