Understand, that there is a little difference between imaginations and dreams.
For a person who has not even seen the world once, do you think he is able to imagine anything or any place or any desire? I don’t think so. Probably scientifically they are not able to dream with images since they have never ever seen anything in this world.
I imagine it would have to depend on whether you were born blind or if you had your sight and then lost it. If you have always been blind and your perception of reality is based on your other senses, I’d think that your dreams don’t involve sight. The dreams will most likely be similar to how you experience the world on a daily basis. If you once could see but now are blind then I’d imagine that you’ll still experience dreams where you could see, due to memories and experience of sight previously. You’ll probably have dreams where you can’t see also, since it’s your new reality.
After all this speculation and guessing, I figured that asking a blind person would be the most logical way to find out!
Something I thought of while answering this… what if someone who was born blind, not the type of blind where you can still see shadows, shades of light, dulled colours and shapes, but the type of blind that is just blackness like when you close your eyes in an already dark room…so, what if someone who only knows the world based on their other senses, can actually see how we see also in their own dreams?
