It is hard to tell whether the chinese herbal medicine will be effective for you or not, we are all different and our expectations of medical medicine practitioners differ as well. The chinese traditional medicine has been around for thousands of years and how it is practiced in other places may differ, and just like any other profession, you will find those who do well at it and those who don’t. Chinese medicines has been steadily increased in the past few decades and it is also known for its significant role in preventing and treating chronic conditions and diseases such as cancer.
Well, probably not for anything big, but some herbs are pretty potent and contain chemicals used in medicine. The only downside to these traditional medicine is that they actually work, but not regulated. A good example is ephedrine, which you can get from taking “ma-huang”. Ephedrine works the way it is claimed to work, so there is one thing that is legit. The other side of that is ephedrine is easy to make and cheap as hell, and despite what a lot of herbalists say, there is no reason to take the plant version instead of the cheap manufactured version.
